A new favourite spot

Happy Sunday friends!
I'm thrilled to share with you that we found another favourite spot at our place, at least as great as the willow tree at our old one ;-)
In my experience, special places slowly evolve, you won't find them right away, which is what makes them so special when you discover them one day.

This one is on our property where we keep the cows currently, and it's amidst pine trees which gives it that amazing pine smell I love so much.
I bought these hammocks from Amazon, they are ultralight, quick-drying and mildew-resistant. We tried them out today for the first time, and so far we really like them. They are big and strong enough for two people (supposedly they carry up to 600 pounds), but we each like our own space, so I bought two.
The dogs were hanging out with us and the cows were grazing a little ways away, it was so idyllic!
Summer is finally back again, and the light breeze felt heavenly. I'm so happy!

I always take photos like this feet-in-the-hammock one (a classic, no?), so it cracked me up when Rich took one of his feet as well 😂
Summer is the best!

  1. That looks like the perfect summer day to me. I need to make time to spend a few days camping in the Cariboo. The open sky is just the best. How are the mosquitoes?

    1. Not bad at all! I don't know if it's thanks to the chickens eating them or if we simply lucked out, but there are none during the day and very few at night. It couldn't be any better! I hope you will get some good camping trips in this summer! Nothing is better for the soul than wide open sky and long, lazy summer days.
