Style: Rain socks

What do you do when you absolutely cannot, for the life of you, think of a title for a blog post? You hem and haw, type out at least 10 versions and disregard them right away in disgust, consider drinking creativity juice (i.e. wine) and reject that idea with regret (because you are a responsible adult and it is already 1am), consider finishing it tomorrow, and then remember that you have to go to work earlyish (11am - but did I mention that it is already 1am?1:02 now. I'm a slow typer).
And then you are finally, mercifully, struck by an idea: Channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw.

Remember that episode where she has writer's block? She is sitting at her desk in her apartment, trying to think of an idea for a column, and starts out to write something about men being like socks. And then she erases it and types out: This column socks.

When I tried to squeeze in these photos today, I had approximately 10 minutes to do so, because our house guest was waiting for me to go grocery shopping with him.
That kinda pressure socks.

I also didn't really want him to see me take pictures of myself with my tripod, because I wouldn't know how to explain it to a conservative 62-year old German man. I tried to describe to him what blogs are once before, and he was completely mystified.
I can't really blame him.
However: Peeking around the corner every 2 minutes to make sure he isn't close by socks

Then it started to rain (again), and that clearly socks

Also, I am wearing socks, so it all makes perfect sense in my mind.

There you have it! The creative process in action. Is it magic or what?!

Totally stole the newspaper idea from Carrie as well. Nothing is original.

Sweater: Suzy Shier (old) (similar); skirt: H&M, no longer available (super-cute one for spring here; or how about this tulle skirt?); socks: H&M (similar); booties: Target (similar)

Who is ready for the rain to stop and the sun to come back? *raises hand and hops up and down, shouting loudly "Me! Me!!!"*

Happy Friday!
