Last weekend, the annual rodeo was happening in Merritt, and since this was actually our first rodeo in our new town, we obviously had to go.
My fascination with the western culture was what brought me to Canada in 2002, and is at the root of the wonderful turn my life took during that summer. I have a weakness for everything cowboy-related, and the rodeo did not disappoint! It was packed with bucking broncos, barrel-racing cowgirls, bull riders, and ruggedly handsome cowboys everywhere.
I even took one home! 😉
Before we left I snapped a few quick photos of the outfit I was wearing: A cream lace dress and my beloved Uxibal western booties. It was a great weekend!
Dress: old (similar and on sale!)
Booties: Uxibal
Belt: old (similar)
Necklace: Lola Bean Jewelry
Here's to another wonderful weekend!

I have a cousin who does bull riding, but I've never gone to see him! I've never been to a rodeo in my life!
ReplyDeleteOh, you have to go and see him! It's absolutely thrilling. Even if you're not into cowboys, it's an amazing experience!
DeleteLove this outfit! That dress is really pretty on you.
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I love that you're loving the country life. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit Miriam. You look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThis is an adorable look! Love the mix of the lace with your boots. I have never been to a rodeo, but may need to remedy that as you make it sound so fun. Thanks for linking up with Fabulous Friday!
