Style: Blame it on my wild heart

Once in a while, my rebellious teenage self comes out. It happens less and less frequently, and not with great ferocity - more like a gentle reminder of what a badass I used to be.
(I actually never was a badass, but always wanted to be. I have nostalgia for a time that never was! Call the lunatic asylum.)
When I saw this top on ModCloth, it sparked just that nostalgia. The only act of defiance was not wearing a bra (I ordered it a size too small and it fit sort of snug with a bra - but that's neither here nor there), and that is enough rebellion for my soon-to-be middle age.
(When does middle age start? In our 40s? Earlier? I have no clue. Please enlighten me!)

Anyway. Lots has happened in regards of enlightenment for me this week, but you will have to wait until Sunday for the big(gish) reveal. And if you had any enlightening moments this week, no matter how small, share them with us! Us being ShannonMariah and me.

Top: ModCloth; shorts: Old Navy; sandals: Victoria Secret (very old), pretty ones here
Necklace: found on a beach in Peru 7 years ago

Nick investigating my tripod.

All I ask you now is to cross all your fingers and toes for a win for Germany on Sunday! Please and thanks.

Love, Miriam

  1. I had to share this post of yours with my 5 year old daughter. She is a horse fanatic and she thought the ones in your pictures were beautiful. :)

  6. Super cute!! I love 'bad-to-the-bone' type clothes too - even though I'm a total imposter wearing them!
