Weekly highlights: work and girl time

Last week I worked 6 days out of 7, which means not too many exciting things happened around the farm. The weather has definitely turned from summer into fall, everybody is back to work/school, and it feels like the carefree, fun summer days are over. Booo!
But - I have lots of plans for the fall, one of them to get my long-awaited paint project started! I'm gonna buy paint today, and may actually tackle the first wall. No time like the present, right?
Here's last week's highlights:

Friday, August 30th
My friend Sasha came over for some much-needed girl time, white wine and beef sandwiches. We had a blast, laughed, cried and stayed up till very late, at which point I gave her adorable daughter (who is 3 months old) some invaluable life lessons. Did you pay attention Mila?

Saturday, August 31st
It was a lazy Saturday with lots of couch time. But I got a visit from this lovely little fellow!

Sunday, September 1st
Work. Best part of the day? This amazing cloud formation that I took a photo of from one of the offices at work.

Monday, September 2nd
Hit a personal milestone: Over 10,000 page views on here! Très excited.
Plus I figured out how to do a screenshot on my laptop (I have windows 8): press the window button and 'Print Screen' button at the same time.
Never knew that!

Tuesday, September 3rd
Had a busy morning with errands to the bank, grocery shopping, seeing my doctor and filling a prescription. While I waited for that prescription, what did I spy with my little eyes? The best sign there is in a woman's world: SALE. Where I found two dresses at 70% off!
And Blogtember kicked off! Oh how I enjoy this challenge, it's really really great.

Wednesday, September 4th
The fortune cookie was right!

Thursday, September 5th

It's my Friday! I celebrated with popsicles, TV time with my man, and wine. It was a beautiful evening. With all those late shifts I'm working lately we really needed a cuddly couple's night in.
I hope you all have an excellent Friday and great weekend ahead of ya!
Mine will involve baggy pants and paintbrushes. Excited!

  1. Looks like a great week! Love the last picture of you.
    Have a great week-end.

  2. That last picture of you is lovely and the bomb pop is bringing back memories of lunch in the school cafeteria. We could always buy bomb pops and other ice cream treats for a quarter after we ate our lunch. I didn't even know they still made them. I guess I know what I will be searching for this weekend !

    1. They are so yummy! I may or may not have eaten 4... (I did). Found it at IGA here in Canada!
