Melyssa from The Nectar Collective has created another one of her great link-ups:

The Creative Collective

Head on over to find out all about it!

Okay, are you back? Good. Knowing me, I probably won't participate in every one of them, just whatever strikes my fancy. And this first one certainly does: She asked us to pick a word for 2014 that we want to focus on.
This morning, it came to me with absolute certainty: create.

I want to create photos.
Create meaningful relationships and friendships.
Continue to create this blog that makes me so happy.
Be a creative person, something I didn't think I was but find out now I actually am.
Keep creating my wardrobe. (Ha! That one will be easy!)
Create memories.
Create great meals.
Create a herb garden.
Create my little haven under the willow tree with a hammock, outdoor bar, books, and all the dogs around me.
Create a wonderful life!

This all makes me so excited! I feel inspired and totally psyched.

Let's do this!!

What is your word for the year?

Love, Miriam

  1. I couldn't pick just one word :) But Create is one of mine too. I can't wait to try some new projects and see if I have a secret talent somewhere. Happy 2014!

    1. It's fun trying new things, and the New Year is definitely the time to do it. Cliche, but it works. Good luck on your journey this year!

  2. When I saw your word create - I instantly thought arts and crafts. But it was really refreshing to see creating relationships and friendships; creating a wonderful life! Love it.

    1. I wish I could do crafts, but I'm pretty hopeless at it. So photos it is! ;-)
When it comes to relationships I'm sometimes a pretty neglectful friend - I get caught up in my own little world. Definitely want to work on that!
      Thanks for stopping by Aukele!

  3. Great choice for your word. Has such a positive feeling behind it:)

    1. Thanks Alyson! New beginnings always feel so exciting!
