Style: Friends

Just like that, it's cold. Icy, blue-skied, clear, frosty cold.
And I like it. You want to know why? Because the horses do. This kinda weather - dry, sunny, cold, crisp - is heaven to them. So it is to me, too. We love anything that isn't grey and wet.
Today I let them out on pasture again, which is something we are rarely able to do in the months of November to April. Usually, in the winter months, they have to be in their stalls at night, and in paddocks during the day, which is fine, but not freedom.
Being on the pasture is freedom. They can run, kick, roll, interact with the llamas and sheep, and pretend to be free. They are so happy to be out, which, in turn, makes us happy, too.

Living somewhere where you still have green grass (even if it coexists with a lot of mud) in the middle of November is very special. West coast of Canada, I love you. 

I never wore leggings before. Ever. I declared them to be hideous and a clear sign of having given up.

Until I found this pair at Winners - I had to have them. No need to explain the greatness of leggings to any of you - you already know. It was me who was too stubborn to admit to their awesomeness. 

But now I have seen the light, and I LOVE them. There may be more in my future...

In case you have ever wondered what the behind-the-scenes of my photo shoots look like, here is a little peek: This is me trying to avoid the dogs (=Lily) jumping up on me with muddy paws. The other dogs, of course, want to play, too! It's ridiculous.
