Style: Grey, yet colourful

For most of my life, I've associated November with darkness and greyness. Short and rainy days have never been my faves, and knowing that winter is coming is a depressing thought.
However, as much as I dread this time of year, once it has arrived I have to admit: it's actually not all bad.  Being outside with the dogs every day makes me catch the beautiful little moments that even the short days present. One of the things I love about living in BC is that despite frequent rain, you can almost always catch a few sunny hours here and there. And looking at the still vibrant trees makes me realize that November is way more colourful than I give it credit for!

Also, I've said it before and I'll say it again: dressing for this season is so fun! These clog boots I'm wearing are the result of an impulsive, late-night phone purchase. I had been eyeing them for weeks, but was hesitant because of the price - $200.00 is usually beyond my limit for clothing purchases.

A couple weeks ago I was snuggled up in bed, all comfy and cozy, scrolling one last time through Instagram when I saw them again, and clicked on over to the Lotta From Stockholm website. Here they were, in all their leather and sheepskin glory - and my defences were weakening. The price displayed was in British pounds, which didn't look that bad - 129.90 is reasonable, right?
The late hour, deceptive number and the sheer possibility of being able to buy something on my phone, in bed, without even having to get up and get my wallet (damn you paypal!) made me reckless - and I ordered them.

In the harsh light of the next morning I did feel a tad guilty - but resolved that life is too short for that.
And now that they have arrived, I love them! Clogs are my thing, and I am thrilled that I can now wear them year-round. Another reason to like (or at least, not dislike so much) winter!
