Weekly highlights: a successful work week all around

High fives all around for Friday! It's payday, I'm off, the sun is shining, life is sweet.
Last week was a successful one: Great teamwork and lots of laughs at work, Richard's jobs are going well, perfect weather all week, and I found a few great bargains. What else can a girl ask for?

I keep playing around with some minor details on the blog, trying to clean it up a bit. I put my personal favourites on the sidebar (only took me about 2 hours, html is not my friend), have a look! I may or may not change the background colour, not sure if all white is my thing. We shall see.

Friday, October 11th
A peculiar thing is happening: What I have noticed over the last few weeks is that Friday is pretty much the only day of the week where I don't take any pictures. Odd. I love Fridays as much as the next person (even though as a shift worker, they are not the special, freedom-tinged days they are for Mon-Fri workers), but they seem not to inspire me photography-wise. Don't know why that is.

Last Friday was a particularly fun one at work, since I worked with some of the funny guys. Lots of belly-laughs. It was awesome.

Saturday, October 12th
Went to IKEA to pick up a couple more frames for my gallery wall, and found these cute flowers. They are just stickers that you stick to the wall, and they come off super-easy if you wanna change it up.
How have I never done this before?

Sunday, October 13th
I cooked a Thanksgiving dinner for two, we ate (a lot), gazed at each other lovingly over the rim of our wine glasses by candle light ... haha gotcha! We did eat (a lot), by candle light, but there was no gazing. Instead we watched TV after dinner. Like any old-married couple should.

Monday, October 14th
Thanksgiving! I worked (Stat-pay!), it was super-busy, but we had great teamwork going on. So satisfying! But afterwards I was so beat that I spent a few hours on the couch and went to bed at 8pm.

Tuesday, October 15th
This witch is up in our neighbourhood every year, and it makes me smile every time I see it. It also makes me wonder: How do they get it up there? And who are they?

Wednesday, October 16th
I found these booties today! For $19.00!! Can't beat that. Target of course, that store never disappoints. And I bought a second pair of boots there: black lace-up combat-looking boots that fold over and have the prettiest, sort of Aztec-inspired print inside. Two pairs of boots in one day, for under $60.00.
That only ever happens when you not look for something.

Thursday, October 17th
A foggy nightwalk with my doggy. Perfect mood for Halloween month: Full moon, fog, spooky decoration everywhere. It was actually a bit scary, so I cut my walk short.
I also made beef stew with mashed potatoes and red cabbage. Good stick-to-your-ribs comfort food! Rich deserved it, he's been working hard lately.

Have a great weekend!
